Vietnam – Austria joint venture Mavin will invest in a high-tech variety research and development centre and a food processing plant in the south at a total cost of over 80 million USD, said its Chairman David John Whitehead.

Mavin Group has become the first business in Vietnam to officially export fresh pork to a foreign market when the first batch was shipped to Myanmar, a success of not only the company but also the country’s animal farming sector.

Further improving the business environment and facilitating the private sector’s development were part of the focus at the Vietnam Business Forum.
