June is the nationwide action month for children this year under the theme of joining hands for ensuring children’s rights and protecting children in natural disasters and pandemic, said the Ministry of Labour, Invalid and Social Affairs’ Department of Child Affairs.
The #tienhocle programme that uses the short video app TikTok to popularise child protection skills was launched in Hanoi on September 20 as part of a deal sealed the same day.
A communications programme “For the safe life of children” was held in Ho Chi Minh City for over 500 workers in Binh Tan district, the first activity in a series of events to raise awareness of young families working in industrial and processing zones about protecting their children from sex abuse.
A workshop was held in the northern province of Vinh Phuc on July 24 to look into the media’s participation in child protection, including the way they report on this issue.
