The State council for acceptance testing of construction works has permitted Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) to put the Duyen Hai 3 thermal power plant expansion project in the Mekong Delta’s Tra Vinh province into commerical operation.

The Vietnam National Union of Building Workers launched an action month on labour safety and hygiene in Hanoi on May 18 with an aim to preventing and controlling risky factors at workplace to minimise occupational accidents and illness in construction.
