The first batch of 55 BMW and MINI cars imported by Vietnamese automaker Truong Hai Auto Corporation have arrived at Ho Chi Minh City’s port.

The BMW Group Asia said on September 12 that it signed a letter of intent with Vietnamese automaker Truong Hai Automobile JSC (Thaco), delivering its intention to choose Thaco as a dealer of its BMW and MINI models in Vietnam from January 1, 2018.

Volvo Cars of Sweden will open two Volvo 4S centres in Ho Chi Minh City in the third quarter of this year, the group announced on March 22.

The 2015 Vietnam International Motor Show (VIMS), the largest-ever event of its kind, opened at the Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Centre in Hanoi on October 9.
