Scholars and experts on French language and culture have affirmed Vietnam’s increasingly important role in the French-speaking community and the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF).

The Romanian art troupe Doina Gorjului is performing at the Francophone Week 2017 and the Romania-Vietnam Friendship Day in HCM City.

The Francophone Week 2017 will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from March 17-29 with diverse cultural and art exchange activities, organisers announced on March 16.

Ho Chi Minh City will host a wide range of activities to mark the Francophone Week, which will be held in from March 18-25.
