Rare fruits to be displayed in HCM City

Some new and usual fruits will be on display at the Southern Fruit Festival which opens on June 1 at the Suoi Tien Cultural Tourist Park in HCM City, organisers told the media.

Ministry limits new coffee cultivation

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) will keep the country’s total coffee cultivation area of between 450,000 and 500,000 ha, with an average productivity of 2 or 2.4 tonnes per ha in coming years.

Produce reaches trade surplus

Vietnam exported 278 million USD worth of fruits and vegetables – including the first-ever shipment of red-fleshed dragon fruits to the US – and imported 166 million USD in the first eight months of the year, according to the General Statistic Office.
