Electric vehicles have high development potential in Vietnam amid the growing trend of using green and clean energy, heard an online conference held by Green Innovation and Development Centre (GreenID) and the Giao thong (Transport) newspaper on December 21.
The Green Innovation and Development Centre (GreenID) organised the 2019 Vietnam Clean Air Festival in Hanoi on December 21, aiming to raise public awareness of the situation, cause and impact of air pollution as well as solutions to the important issue.
Alarming pollution readings were recorded in the capital of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in the previous year, heard a conference jointly held by the Green Innovation and Development Centre (GreenID) and the Vietnam Live and Learn Centre for Environment and Community in Hanoi on January 30.
Coal-fueled electricity plants have still failed to meet power demand in Vietnam, which is forecast to grow 10 percent annually during the 2010-2030 period.
