A project building container terminals No 3 and 4 at the Hai Phong International Gateway Port in the Lach Huyen Port area was launched in the northern port city on May 12.

Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company has recently signed a pre-investment consulting contract to build container berths No 3 and 4 in Hai Phong International Gateway Port.

Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) has sought approval from the Ministry of Transport and the Government for a project to build two container ports at Lach Huyen international seaport in Hai Phong northern city.

Several important issues, including the investment, management and utillization of wharfs in Hai Phong International Gateway Port, were discussed during a meeting of the Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on August 24-25.

The northern port city of Hai Phong lured two new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects worth 62.25 million USD in the first three months of this year.
