The Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba on Sept. 12 hosted a memorial
ceremony for Vo Chi Cong, former Politburo member, former Party Central
Committee Secretary, former President of the State Council and and
former advisor to the Party Central Committee.
A senior Chinese official said he believed that under the leadership of
the freshly-elected Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam,
the Vietnamese people will unite to seize opportunities and overcome
all challenges to boost the country’s renewal cause comprehensively.
A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has participated
in the International Conference of Asian Political Parties seminar on
poverty reduction in Kunming, China’s Yunnan province, from July
13-20.
The Vietnamese and Chinese foreign
ministries have agreed to effectively implement previously signed
border and territorial agreements and speed up the settlement of
maritime issues.
Vietnam and China should coordinate
closely in friendship activities to further promote their comprehensive
strategic cooperative partnership in line with their shared motto and
guidelines, Vietnam ’s party chief said.
More than 200 Party officials, managers
and researchers of Vietnam and China are attending the 5th theoretical
seminar between the two nations’ Communist Parties.
A delegation of the Communist Party of
Vietnam Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, headed
by Chairman Hoang Binh Quan, is on a visit to China from Sept. 28-Oct.
