Representatives of the Central Committees of the Vietnam Fatherland
Front (VFF) and the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) shared
work experience during a meeting in Hanoi on July 16.
Vietnam’s northern Son La province and Laos’ Houaphan and Luang
Prabang provinces have erected 126 border markers to date along their
shared border line, said the Son La Steering Committee on border-marker
planting.
Vietnam and Laos will continue facilitating information exchanges,
theory research and increase education campaigns to raise public
awareness of the special solidarity and traditional friendship between

Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Nguyen
Quoc Khanh received a visiting delegation from the Training Department
under the General Staff Department of the Lao People’s Army in Hanoi on
July 8.

approved a plan to build a link road from Noi Bai – Lao Cai Highway to
Sapa district, officials said last week.
