Pianist Nguyen Duc Anh, who earned a master’s degree at Freiburg Conservatory of Music in Germany, will perform in a concert celebrating the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birthday at the HCM City Opera House on November 28.
Renowned Vietnamese pianist Luu Hong Quang, who has won many international piano competitions, will perform as an invited artist at piano series No.3 Évolution that will be held at Hanoi Opera House on October 3.
Not many Vietnamese listen to classical music as it is thought to be for the upper class. A free entrance concert in St. Joseph’s Cathedral has brought the chamber art form closer to public audience.
