The Republic of Korea (RoK) and Thailand have agreed to work together for a project to build a space launch site in the Southeast Asian country.

Vietnamese Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anh and Minister of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Choi Kiyoung on November 27 signed an agreement to co-finance research projects from 2019 – 2020.

The RoK's mobile carriers will likely invest 9.36 billion USD in the fifth-generation network technology this year in a bid to lay a firm foundation for the high-end service.

The government of the Republic of Korea said on January 2 that it will spend 349 billion won (328 million USD) this year to develop new bio technology, as part of efforts to become a global biotech and medical industry hub.
