Almost 30 young naval officers from ASEAN countries gathered on
March 28 in the central city of Nha Trang for an exchange to promote
friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the regional countries’
naval forces.
The High Command of Naval Zone 2 has received the vessel HQ272, the most
modern ocean going patrol boat to be made in Vietnam to date at a
ceremony on March. 1.
Vietnam and Cambodia ’s naval forces will cooperate closely in all
fields of mutual concern to promote the friendly and cooperative
relations between the two countries’ peoples.
Three naval ships, the USS Chung Hoon, USS Preble and USNS Safeguard of
the United State ’s Navy, with 678 officers and sailors aboard
dropped anchor at Tien Sa port in the central city of Da Nang on
July 15, beginning their visit to the locality.
The French naval ship, Somme, with 201 officers and sailors aboard
anchored at Tien Sa port, the central city of Da Nang, on June 7,
for a five-day tour of the city.
Two US naval ships, the USS Blue Ridge
and USS Lassen, on Nov. 7 anchored at the central port of Da Nang ,
beginning a four-day friendship visit to the city.
