Vietnam beat Mongolia 3-0 in their opening match at the AFC U19 Championship qualification’s Group J in Ho Chi Minh City on November 6.

Vietnam has targeted booking a place in the 2026 World Cup, according to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) deputy chairman Tran Quoc Tuan.

Nguyen Thanh Khoi will represent Vietnam in the U18 all-star Southeast Asian team, ASIAN ELEVEN, which will play an U18 all-star team of Japan’s Tohoku region, said the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam on June 11.
