The central province of Phu Yen’s Border Guard Command on January 17 handed over two Filipino fishermen who were rescued in Vietnam’s sea to officials of the Philippines Embassy in Vietnam.

Two Philippine nationals were rescued at sea and brought ashore at Đông Tác fishing port in the south central coastal province of Phu Yen on January 9.

As many as 121 Filipino fishermen remained missing in Ilocos region, northern Philippines, even as tropical storm Mujigae had exited the country.
