As many as 229 outstanding students in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue received Vallet scholarships during a ceremony on October 29.

The Vallet Scholarship Fund and the Meeting Vietnam organisation presented Vallet scholarships to outstanding students from Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, and Gia Lai provinces at a ceremony in the south-central province of Binh Dinh on September 29.

A total 179 Vallet scholarships worth nearly 2 billion VND (about 85,920 USD) have been presented to disadvantaged students in the Central Highlands and the south central provinces of Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa.

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh on August 25 presented the Friendship Order to History Professor Odon Vallet from the world-renowned Sorbonne University in France.

A concert was held by the Companion Fund at a church in the Louis-le-Grand School’s precinct in Paris, France on May 20 to raise funds to give scholarships for poor Vietnamese students.

Vallet scholarships were awarded to 272 outstanding students from universities, colleges and high schools from the central provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Ha Tinh at a ceremony on August 27.
