Seafood exports by Mekong Delta provinces are picking up after a lull caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Promoting Vietnamese seafood exports to China was the main focus of a workshop held by the Vietnam Pangasius Association (VPA) and China’s Yuexi fisheries association in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on April 18.

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu earned 288 million USD from seafood exports in the first eight months of 2016, fulfilling 55 percent of its yearly target.
