Singapore’s Ministry of Health on December 26 announced new COVID-19 control measures, saying it adjusted its approach to managing Omicron cases.

Singapore will be rolling out a 640 million SGD (476.5 million USD) support package for businesses affected by extended COVID-19 restrictions in the city-state.

Singapore reported 1,939 new COVID-19 cases on September 26, a daily record since the start of the pandemic and marking the sixth consecutive day new infections have exceeded the 1,000 mark.

Singapore’s vaccination scheme will begin for over 400,000 students from schools and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) on June 1, said the Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF) on COVID-19 at a press conference on May 31.
