Son La hydropower company has set a target of producing over 11.7 billion kWh of electricity in 2020, up about 2.5 billion kWh compared to the previous year.

Son La, January 31 (VNA) – Over 2,300 households in Na Nghiu commune, Song Ma district in the mountainous northwestern province of Son La were hooked up to the national power grid on January 30.

Approximately 36,400 ethnic minority people living in 313 remote villages in the mountainous northwestern province of Son La do not yet have access to the national power grid.

The Prime Minister has approved two road construction projects, and has granted more than 629 billion VND (27 million USD) for the resettlement process under the Son La Hydropower Plant Project.

The PM has requested northern mountainous Son La province to make a list of resettlement project facilities to make way for the construction of the Son La hydropower plant that are in bad conditions.
