The Thai Ministry of Commerce is promoting the export of the country's products to secondary cities in foreign countries, such as Wakayama in Japan from which key companies are invited to attend the THAIFEX - World of Food Asia event for business negotiations.
Thailand's public and private sectors, in cooperation with the Department of International Trade Promotion, the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Koelnmesse Company Limited of Germany, are organizing the annual THAIFEX - World of Food Asia, which opened on May 28.
Thai Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Somkid Jatusripitak said he will assign the Ministry of Commerce to allocate funds to rebrand Thailand as the world’s kitchen.

Some 30 Vietnamese enterprises will introduce Vietnam’s natural and organic products, including dried fruits, rice, processed coconut, and milk, at the upcoming Thaifex - World of Food Asia.
As many as 50 Vietnamese food and beverage enterprises, double the number last year, displayed and promoted their products at the THAIFEX-World of Food Asia 2017 held in Bangkok earlier this month.
