Authorities are augmenting support for the Vietnamese workers victimised by a fire at a company in Taiwan on February 6.

The Department of Overseas Labour Management under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has directed the arrangement of jobs for over 160 Vietnamese workers who lost their jobs due to a blaze that broke out in a factory’s dormitory in Taoyuan city, Taiwan (China) on April 28.

No Vietnamese workers have been found injured or dead in a massive fire that broke out at a factory’s dormitory in Pingzhen District, Taoyuan city, Taiwan (China) around 9:00 pm on April 29.

Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung has offered condolences to families of Vietnamese workers who were killed in a fire at the dormitory of a company in Taoyuan city of China’s Taiwan on December 14.

The Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei is actively coordinating with officials from China’s Taiwan to carry out search and rescue activities and update information on Vietnamese workers trapped in a fire in Taiwan on December 14.
