Vietnam and Thailand issued a joint press communique on the occasion
of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s official visit to Thailand on July
23, which emphasised measures to strengthen the Strategic Partnership
between the two countries at the dawn of the fifth decade of bilateral
relations.
Vietnam and Thailand are striving to bring their two-way trade to
15 billion USD by 2020 as the former becomes an attractive destination
for Thai visitors and the latter is the ninth largest tourism market for
Vietnamese.
General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and
his entourage arrived back in Hanoi on June 27, wrapping up his
three-day official visit to Thailand at the invitation of Thai Prime
Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
