International domestic airlines
operating in Vietnam are offering discounts on their flights as the
global recession and swine flu pandemic continue to keep bookings low.
Vietnam Airlines has announced that it
will offer a discount of 60-70 percent on all domestic and
international flights scheduled from October 1- January 31, the
carrier’s target promotion to date.
Vietnam harbours huge advantages in
landscapes, old-age culture, favourable climate and hospitable people
for developing the hospitality industry, a senior tourism Mexican
official has said.
The Vietnam Economic Times on August 25
flagged its ninth Golden Dragon Awards for business excellence from
foreign-invested companies in various sectors.
The Nomura International group has forecast Vietnam ’s GDP growth rate in 2009
to reach 4.9 percent, an increase over the group’s previous forecast of 4
percent, said the Vietnam Economic Times on July 9.
