The southern province of Dong Thap will allocate more than 31 billion
VND for a project to sustainably preserve and develop Tram Chim
National Park from 2013-2020.
The management board of Mui Ca Mau (Ca Mau Cape) National Park and the southernmost province of Ca Mau’s local authorities have devised a
long-term plan to conserve biodiversity in the mangrove swamp
ecosystem.
The People’s Committee of the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap has
freshly approved a funding of 208 billion VND to preserve and develop
Tram Chim National Park sustainably in 2013-2020.
The red-headed crane, a symbol of Tram Chim National Park in Tam Nong
district, Mekong delta Dong Thap province, were spotted to have less
visited the area than the previous years.
Mui Ca Mau (Ca Mau Cape) National Park in the southernmost province of
Ca Mau received the certificate recognizing it as the 2,088th world
Ramsar site at a ceremony on April 13.
Located in Tam Nong district of the Mekong Delta province of Dong
Thap , Tram Chim National Park boasts a rich biodiversity that
turned it into the world’s 2000 th Ramsar site in 2012.
Mui Ca Mau (Ca Mau Cape) National Park in the southernmost province of
Ca Mau will be recognised as a new Ramsar site of the world and the
fifth in Vietnam.
The Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap on May 22 held a ceremony to
receive a certificate recognising Tram Chim National Park as a Ramsar
site of wetlands of international importance.
The Government has given a nod to the Ministry of Natural Resources and
Environment’s plan to register Tram Chim National Park in the
Ramsar list of wetlands of international importance.

HSBC Bank in Vietnam and the World
Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) jointly organised various field trips for the
bank’s staff to the Mekong delta region in March to see with their
own eyes climate change impacts on people’s life.
Tram Chim National Park, a reduced
model of Dong Thap Muoi, with a natural history of collective ecology
of geomorphology, hydrography and underwater creatures, appears to be
an attractive destination for both local and foreign visitors.
