Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of the Vietnamese Mission to the United Nations, has called on the UN and the international community to support the Colombian Government and promote peace, security and development in this country.
The UN Security Council held an in-person meeting on Colombia on July 14 during which Vietnam reaffirmed its support for the implementation of the peace deal in the South American nation.
Vietnam presided over a United Nations Security Council session on January 13, during which the organisation adopted a resolution to extend the mandate of the UN Mission to support the Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA) in Yemen and listened to a report on activities of the UN mission overseeing the peace agreement in Colombia.
