A 65ha freshwater reservoir with a designed capacity of 4.5 million cubic metres will be built in Vinh Tuong commune, Vi Thuy district, Hau Giang province in response to climate change.

The Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang plans to expand the cultivation area planted with certified rice to 60-70 percent of its total rice cultivation.
