in Vietnam to launch a campaign in which volunteers build houses for
the poor.
The Cambodian and Vietnamese news
agencies have agreed to implement a technical assistance project as
soon as it is approved by the Vietnam-Cambodia Inter-Governmental
Committee at its meeting in Preah Sihanouk early next month.

A new primary school for overseas
Vietnamese children was officially opened in Cambodia’s capital city of
Phnom Penh on August 30, on the occasion of the 64 th anniversary of
Vietnam’s National Day (September 2) and the August Revolution.
The Prime Minister has ratified a plan
to implement a joint statement and a framework programme between
Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand on oil spill response in the Gulf of
Thailand for the 2009-2015 period.

exchanges for their young people in order to help them understand about
the lives, customs and cultural traditions of each other’s country as
well as strengthen solidarity and mutual assistance.
