Vietnamese and Chinese coast guards on December 22-23 successfully conducted a joint patrol in the Gulf of Tonkin, contributing to building the waters of peace, stability and mutual beneficial cooperation.
Two coast guard ships of the Coast Guard Region 1 High Command left the northern port city of Hai Phong on April 21, beginning a patrol to examine the enforcement of the Vietnam-China agreement on fishery cooperation in the Gulf of Tonkin.
Over the past 15 years, the Vietnam Coast Guard (VCG) has work with other Vietnamese and Chinese forces to materialise the Agreement on Fishery Cooperation in the Gulf of Tonkin between the two countries.
