Vietnam is ready to share its experience and support Iran to the best of its ability in battling the COVID-19 pandemic, Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Minh Khoi said on June 22.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan met with Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Ali Ardeshir Larijani on April 8 on the sidelines of the 140th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Doha, Qatar.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh had separate meetings with Foreign Ministers Taro Kono of Japan and Mohammad Javad Zarif of Iran on August 2.

Speaker of the Parliament of Iran Ali Ardeshir Larijani on April 18 concluded his official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

Iran wishes to promote comprehensive partnership with Vietnam, Speaker of the Parliament of Iran Ali Ardeshir Larijani told Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan during their meeting in Hanoi on April 16.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) will continue its close coordination with the National Assembly, Government and relevant agencies of Vietnam to contribute to enhancing the friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with the State and people of Iran, said President of the VFF Central Committee Tran Thanh Man.

Speaker of the Parliament of Iran Ali Ardeshir Larijani arrived in Vietnam on April 15 for an official visit at the invitation of National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

Vietnam and Iran should focus on promoting economic and trade cooperation to soon raise two-way trade value to 2 billion USD as agreed by leaders of both sides, said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh.

President of Iran Hassan Rouhani will pay a State visit to Vietnam from October 5-7 at the invitation of President Tran Dai Quang, according to the Foreign Ministry’s statement.
