Vietnam is endeavouring to be shoulder-by-shoulder with Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand in the field of labour and employment.

Over 35,700 Vietnamese labourers have gone overseas for work in the
first four months of this year, representing 37.58 percent of the yearly
target, according to the Overseas Labour Management Department (OLMD)
under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.
