The 21st APEC Ministerial Meeting ended
in Singapore on Nov. 12 after issuing a joint statement that called for
the building of a Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific (FTAAP).
A Vietnamese delegation led by State

Triet joined leaders and representatives of the 21 APEC economies at
the first retreat session of the 17th APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting
(AELM) held in Singapore on Nov. 14.
All resources appropriations must be
accompanied by reasonable justifications and the United Nations must be
in a position to proceed from existing resources, a Vietnamese
representative to the UN has said.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his

resolutely opposes protectionism as it prevents economies from
developing strongly and in a free manner.
