Vietnamese martial
artists shined on December 21 during the SEA Games 27 in Myanmar with
seven golds, bringing the national team’s total to 73 against the
previously set goal of 70.
Vietnamese athletes had a successful competition day at the on-going 27th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Myanmar on December 17 as
they brought home a total of six gold medals.
Vietnamese star swimmers Nguyen Thi Anh Vien and Hoang Quy Phuoc set a
new record for Vietnamese swimming at the Southeast Asian Games both
earning gold medals to help Vietnam clock five gold medals at the
Southeast Asian (SEA) Games for the first time .

for Vietnam at the Asian Games, losing to Thailand's Phongsri Sarita 4-3
in the women's Taekwondo under-53kg weight category final, on Nov. 18.
Vietnam won five more gold medals on
Dec. 13, temporarily ranking second on the medal tally after two days’
topping the medal table of the ongoing Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games
25) in Laos.
Vietnam scooped six more golds by 5:00
p.m (local time) on Dec. 12, continuing to top the medal tables at the
25 th ongoing Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 25) in Laos.
Vietnam ranked second with 41 gold, 29
silver and 21 bronze medals at the Asian Indoor Games 3, which
concluded in Hanoi on Nov. 7 after nine days of competition.
