Fruit, vegetable exports grow 5.4 percent

The fruit and vegetable industry has posted record export growth in the first 11 months of this year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

After 11 months, Vietnam earned 388 million USD from exporting fruit and vegetables, an increase of 5.4 percent over the same period of 2008, the ministry said.

Produce exports decline slightly

Vietnam earned 245 million USD from fruit and vegetable exports in the first seven months of the year, down slightly by 0.2 percent over the same period in 2008.
