Low-cost airline Jetstar Pacific will merge with national flag carrier
Vietnam Airlines in the near future, according to deputy head of the
Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) Dinh Viet Thang.
The low-cost airline Jetstar Pacific is offering 1,000 tickets on the
HCM City-Hanoi-HCM City for 100,000 VND each on the occasion of the
1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has asked the Ministry of Transport and
the VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company (VJA) to strictly implement the Prime
Minister’s instructions in signing cooperation agreements with foreign partners
regarding air transport activities.
Malaysia’s budget carrier AirAsia has
purchased a 30 percent stake in local VietJet Aviation to establish a
Vietnam-based low-cost airline, according to the company.
A direct service between China’s Macau
and Hanoi will start operating on February 13 to celebrate the start of
the lunar New Year, announced Viva Macau Airlines on January 19.
Asia’s largest low-cost airline AirAsia
officially launched a direct flight route between the Indonesian
capital of Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City on October 9.
