Vietnam has made many advances in endoscopic surgery for patients with esophageal cancer. Up to 90 percent of esophageal cancer patients live for at least five years more, if the disease is detected and treated early.
The mostly publicly financed health care system in Vietnam has only been able to afford to pour resources into a handful of central level hospitals in big cities, forcing patients living in remote areas with serious diseases to go to Hanoi or HCM City for treatment.
Though Vietnamese surgeons have the capability of performing fetal surgery, the procedure has yet to be carried out because of the risks involved,heard a conference held in Ho Chi Minh City.
Nine French companies involved in developing medical technology will
