The Vietnam Social Security (VSS) has asked its local and sectoral chapters to secure sufficient funding to cover medical expenses of health insurance holders amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, according to its dispatch issued on August 2.
Foreign visitors who were treated for COVID-19 in Thailand will be able to claim back medical expenses from the country’s hospitals, the Thai Ministry of Finance confirmed on March 19.
Although inpatient room costs have increased sharply, medical quality remains stagnant, according to the latest report by the Vietnam Social Security (VSS).
In order to reduce pressure placed on central hospitals, the basic medical services package at commune-level medical facilities will be implemented from December 2017.
