A new cold spell is projected to hit North Vietnam starting January 16 night, causing rains in many parts of the region over the next day, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
Vietnam’s northern region is being hit by another heat wave, which began on June 29 and is forecast to last until July 3-4, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF).
The north region is forecast to experience heavy rain, flash floods and landslides due to a low-pressure system in the East Sea that may grow into a tropical depression.
