Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has ordered concerned ministries and Mekong Delta provinces to proactively respond to saline intrusion and water shortage in the coming months in an official dispatch.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on October 30 conveyed a message to mark the 20th year of devastating Typhoon Linda – the worst to strike the Mekong Delta in 100 years, in which he called on people to stay vigilant and play a more active role in response to natural disasters.
Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung asked local and central agencies, and localities to make all-out effort to deal with typhoon Sarika, which entered the East Sea on October 16 as the seventh storm this year.
