A proposal by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) to invest in a petrochemical and refinery complex and national oil storage facility with total investment of nearly 19 billion USD in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau is a good idea, said Dr. Nguyen Quoc Thap, Chairman of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Association.
The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam) has proposed the Government invest in a petrochemical and refinery complex and national oil storage in Long Son oil and gas industrial park in Long Son commune, Vung Tau city in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, with a total investment of nearly 19 billion USD in two phases.

its refinery complex, scheduled to start operations in July 2017, to
400,000 barrels per day (bpd) to meet growing domestic demand, said NSRP
General Director Kazutoshi Shimmura.
