Vietnam has, over the past ten years,
expanded its system of natural reserves to 126 on over 2.5 million ha,
representing an increase of 28 percent, reported the Ministry of
Planning and Investment (MPI).
Russian and Vietnamese scientists have
announced their discovery of a new species of rattle-snake, which
belongs to Protobothrops family, in the Trung Khanh Nature Reserve in
the north-western province of Cao Bang.
Many rare species of animals, birds and fishes have made their home at the Lung Hoc Hoang Nature Reserve in southern Hau Giang province, said its Director Nguyen Hoang Tho.
