The Mekong delta province of Ben Tre has set goals to have at least four agricultural value chains worth 1 billion USD, according to a recently-approved project on promoting the export of agro-forestry-fisheries products in the province to 2030.
Vietnam’s shrimp exports are forecast to reach 3.7 billion USD this year, posting an year-on-year increase of 9.8 percent, fuelled by the EU – Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) which facilitated export to the EU markets, according to Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
The Republic of Korea (RoK) is the fifth largest importer of Vietnamese shrimp products, accounting for 10.7 percent of the country’s total shrimp export value.
Vietnam’s shrimp export value to China in July saw a year-on-year increase of 48 percent, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
Vietnam’s shrimp exports to the Republic of Korea are likely to rise 30 percent year on year to approximately 500 million USD in 2019, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) has predicted.
