The recreation of two sets of whale skeleton in Ly Son island district off the coast of the central province of Quang Ngai basically completed after two months of the work, Secretary of the Ly Son Party Committee Nguyen Minh Tri has said.
The People's Committee of the central coastal province of Binh Thuan has approved a project on preserving and promoting the “Cau Ngu” (Whale worshipping) festival at Van Thuy Tu temple in Phan Thiet city.
Measuring 12 metres in length and nearly 2 metres in width, an intact massive whale skeleton is displayed in a glass cabinet at a temple worshipping Ong Nam Hai (the local respectful name of whale) in Da Loc commune, Hau Loc district, the north-central coastal province of Thanh Hoa.
