Vietnam has become one of the pioneers in the world in research and application of stem cell therapy to treat autism spectrum disorder (ASD) following new findings of the research body of Vinmec, a member of VinGroup.
Prof. Dr Nguyen Thanh Liem and Dr Nguyen Thi Hiep have been named in a list of the top 100 scientists in Asia recently released by Singapore’s Asian Scientist magazine.
The country’s first patient transplanted with his own stem cells, frozen for preservation, to replace stem cells destroyed by chemotherapy or radiation is well on the way to full recovery from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, local doctors have said.
