Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung has said authorities are considering the allocation of 1 billion USD for the sustainable development of the Mekong Delta to cope with climate change.
The Government’s Resolution No.120 on the sustainable development of the Mekong Delta issued in November 2017 has been highly appreciated by domestic and foreign experts, thanks to its presentation of specific development perspectives, models, and solutions, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said at a working session in Hanoi on February 19.
Ecosystem-based solutions are vitally important for the Mekong Delta to adapt to climate change in the decades to come, speakers said at a seminar held in Can Tho over the weekend.
