Two separate quakes rocked several areas near Indonesia's Sumatra island on early August 19, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

A 6.4-magnitude quake hit Mindanao in the south of the Philippines on October 16.

An earthquake of 5.7 magnitude on the Richter jolted 129km north west of Kota Ternate, Indonesia on February 7, the United States (US) Geological Survey (USGS) said.
