The Shah Alam High Court in Selangor state of Malaysia on March 14 morning opened the trial of Vietnamese Doan Thi Huong, a suspect in the murder of the holder of a Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) passport with the name of Kim Chol.
Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad on June 26 expressed readiness to normalise ties with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), which soured following the assassination of a DPRK citizen last year.

Legal aid measures are being prepared to protect legitimate interests of Doan Thi Huong, a suspect in the death of Democratic People’s Republic of Korean citizen Kim Chol, according to Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry.
