Vietnamese Professor Dam Thanh Son of the University of Chicago was recently named one the three winners of the 2018 Dirac Medal and Prize by International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP).

Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) on August 24 signed an agreement to establish two category 2 centres for mathematics and physics.
