Vietnam has seen certain achievements made in tobacco harm prevention and control but challenges continue to emerge, including the increasing trend of smoking e-cigarettes, Associate Professor and Dr Luong Ngoc Khue has said.
Vietnam will pilot the use of mobile phone software that allows users to report violations of regulations on tobacco harm prevention and control in Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem and Tay Ho districts.
Vietnam has seen a marginal 2 percent decline in the number of cigarette smokers since the Law on Tobacco Harm Prevention and Control took effects six years ago, heard a conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on May 10 to seek measures to improve the efficiency of the law’s implementation.
