Officials of the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on May 17 had a working session with a delegation of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) to discuss the implementation of a sustainable tourism development project funded by the Swiss Government in Vietnam in 2023-2027.
The Cambodian government has set up an inter-ministerial working group to pick seven provinces for a landscape sustainability project to promote eco-tourism development in the country.
– A seminar was held in the central province of Thua Thien – Hue on August 29 to discuss establishing a platform to facilitate tourism and tourism workforce via public-private partnership.
The Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap is currently home to 73 community-based tourist attractions in Lai Vung and Thap Muoi districts and Cao Lanh city.
The Prime Minister approved the extension of the EU-funded Environmentally and Socially Responsible Tourism Capacity Development Programme till November 10, 2016.
