The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced Vietnam’s top ten
culture, sport and tourism events in 2014 at a ceremony in Hanoi on
December 30.
The number of international tourist arrivals to Hanoi reached 3
million in 2014, up 16 percent against the previous year and 200,000
people more than the yearly target, according to the municipal
Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
As a world cultural heritage site, Hoi An ancient town in the central
province of Quang Nam is seeking to promote tourism in a sustainable
manner for the benefit of the community.
The central city of Da Nang has recorded a sharp increase in the
number of international arrivals in the first quarter of 2014, up as
much as 10-20 percent, according to travel agents Vitours, Vietravel and
Saigontourist.

Robb Report Magazine as two of the world's best 100 hotels in 100
cities globally.
A photography contest was launched in Hanoi on January 11, with
organisers hoping that entries will promote the nation's tourism
industry by showing off its beauty, landscape and culture.
Hoi An has made it to the list of the
world's 10 best cities for tourism by the UK's Wanderlust travel
magazine. The city received 96 percent of votes from readers to rank
second.
